Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

-1 because I thought this might be about dinosaurs.

Other than that, they're a bit uninspiring I think. I want to see the glint in the birds eye. Given that the environments you were shooting them in are probably a bit blah I'd opt for super closeups with tons of detail. The alternative is more distant shots of the birds immersed in their wild setting, but that's not really an option I guess.

I would have to agree with Daire.

The background is poor in 1.

    2 looks soft.

3 is composed badly (feet cut off)

    Sorry, just my opinion.

Looks soft, maybe the focus is on the beak and not the eyes?!

I really like that shot 'hunted' on your deviantart of the two peregrines. That grabs me in a way that none of the above really seem to.

yeah, I've got a soft spot for that one :o

I'm learning as I go along. Photographing the birds in flight is not so easy, and in most of the shots, the crappy background of the aviaries/barriers/people on the stands are a bit of an issue... And I'm usually there to work, not to take photographs all day  looking forward to the summer, with longer days and more light!
