Just thought I'd throw this up for lads wondering about locals opening.

Just back from my usual haunt, Campions on the Malahide Road, and they're open from 2pm to 50pm Stephens day.

So go on, help a brother - whats open in your area St. Stephens Day.

I thought pubs were open normal hours on Stephen's Day? I'm at home in Galway for Christmas and it's all regular hours... clubs and all! Stephen's night is the biggest session of the year!

I'm surprised too, must be a Dublin tradition.

In many places, it's one of the biggest nights of the year.

It's something to do with family pubs vs. union pubs. Most of the pubs in Dublin are union organized so they close on St Stephen's Day.

Not sure if tonight will be different because it's a Saturday.

    Give it over.

Closing the thread since Stephens day is over.

I'm actually surprised at just home many pubs, shops & take away's were open for business.
