Just back from a 21st.. my back is killing me :( I've had to put up wh drunken nonsense for the last 5 hours.. you know, my mam n stepdad are worse drunks than the teenagers :( I felt like a freaking hippo coz all I could do was sit there n watch n caught sight of myself n got a shock to how huge I actually am. I tend to give a little ooh or aah if baby moves a certain way or if I get a pain, n all I'm getting is, are we going into holles street tonight... every freaking time. It's starting to piss me off. N my parents are divorced, both my parents were there n my dad was sometimes sitting on his own (coz id have to go between him to my mum all night) I just hate it not being one unit :( n I know it's so hypocritical of me coz that's what my baby is going to have :( feckin emotions :( I'm just pissed off at everything now :(

I've decided that if anyone else touches my belly uninvited, I'll grope their boob or grab their crotch, before looking at them innocently and saying, "wha? Are we not touching each other then?"

    Lol!! Love it :-)
You should take a look at new look online as well, I got t-shirts that say "hands off the bump" They, no doubt, are contributing to the non gropers but I still think I give off that vibe...

I think unsolicited bump rubs or gropes are what bother me. If it is someone I know very well/am close to and they ask first I think I'd be okay with it. Weirdly enough the one or two unexpected ones(besides my nephew the other day) have been from recently pregnant friends. Maybe they just got so used to other people doing it to them that they think its okay.

The only person who I don't mind touching my bump without asking is my son. But that is because I want him to bond with his sibling. But everyone else weirds me out, I have had random people in the street pat it, or acquaintances rubbing it, it is creepy.

I had a lady place her hand lovingly on my bump the other day, so I touched her stomach and made eye contact... she moved her hand and no words needed to be exchanged!

I'm 29 weeks and my partners mother is the best meaning person in the world but I'm pregnant not ill, she gave out to me for washing cups the other day...

urgh yeah I know THAT feeling - the MIL does the same thing. "don't be carrying that up the stairs!" Eh, it's two jumpers, and I'm, despite having the proportions of a planet on two legs, still better on my two feet than her with her arthritis, bless her. More fussing on the way for the weekend, but I'd say this is the last weekend pre-baby that we're going to visit up in Dublin.
And the "I'm pregnant, not ill!" line is one I've told her repeatedly, too.

This humidity is doing my bloody head in.
Can't sleep on my front any more, too uncomfortable sleeping on my side.
Dozed off on my back last night then hubby came up to bed and fecking woke me. He fell fast asleep in seconds and snored his bloody head off.
Went to the spare room. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Had my antenatal class yesterday and popped by fetal assessment to get a quick check of my bp (as suggested by gp nurse on Tuesday), cue 3 hours of being hooked up to bp machines, getting a trace and a host of tests. There were even talks of keeping me in but thankfully that didn't happen. Have to go back for a more detailed scan to check baby's weight and will need my bp checked twice weekly to be safe. *stressed!!* Just want this baby safe and sound.

Ugh, am already a bad sleeper since getting pregnant but I got woken with the most ferocious leg cramp during the night. So sore!

  • Registered Users Posts: 128 ✭✭PuddingHead

It seems silly that I'm about to moan about sitting down, but dear god, just finished an 11 hour shift, can't handle the heat outside on my break, can't handle the heat in the first aid room, can't handle the heat in the canteen so I spent the majority of my day just at my desk drinking in the aircon!

By god, I've some pain in my lower back/bum from that bloody chair, and it used to be so comfy :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 119 ✭✭beltzar

I'm so wiped with this heat and lying on the bed trying to chill. This is only a little pregnancy related. Feeling huge and struggling to keep my hormones in check.
Frikkin kids in the estate have started ringing our doorbell again. I caught them last time and just shook my finger at them.
Little sh#t has started doing it again this evening-caught them again and read them the riot act and threatened to tell their mothers. One of the girls immediately apologised(she's always been a nice girl) but the other one just glared back defiantly.
If she only knew how close I am to strangling her!! She is a rude loud mouthed little brat. But the gas thing is I'd never tell her Mam as I'm almost as afraid of her as her daughter is:-)
Rant over-back to lying on the bed trying to stop bpd rising.
Hope all the ladies are getting some sleep in this heat.

Next time you catch them throw a pot of water out the door at them... when they go home soaked they'll need to explain why a lady was treating them like stray cats :P

Water balloons. Say you were aiming at cats at it like rabbits in a bush/on a wall/by her feet/on her head!!!!

    cant stand the heat. feck!

anyone ever have a pain in their bump and told by doc its possibly due to one of babies limbs stuck on a nerve? went to doc today cos pain on and off in my bump since last night and this is what he said. by God did the pain get bad at times but then disappeared at other times. not too bad now. thought baby would be too small to get stuck places yet!! got to hear the heartbeat which doc said was perfect.

i also feel huge tonight like waddling up the stairs and all. im only 22 weeks like! and the heats not helping. think it just the pain/uncomfortableness. as long as baby is ok il cope ;)

Could barely leave the house today with the heat. BumP is far too big now to even try carrying around in this heat.

Little guy is going to nana's tomorrow so I can have no2. I really am stressing. I don't want him gone. I think I rather go through labour and birth alone than have him away. That said I am so boring and moody recently he is probably better off away from me. I snapped at him for no reason this evening. Poor little guy just looked at me like a kicked puppy. I just can't rest being away from him now even though I need to concentrate on being ready for the second birth.

I didn't leave the house either, stayed in the front room wh the big window open in shorts n string top!

Awh I know it's hard not to worry n you don't get along great wh the mil but at least you know he is safe which is what you said you wanted :) you won't have to worry about him just in case your waters break during the night (before Tuesday!) You have to concentrate on you n baby for next few days n as much as you will miss him, you'll have your little fanily unit bsck together in no time :)

I know. And I know he is dying to see his aunt and his nana is after getting him a lovely huge motorised fire engine complete with fireman hat. I think a lit of it is like nesting hormones, I want my babies both near me at all times sort of thing. I need to be able to run at any time to the hospital and I need my partner to be there so he can bond with his baby too, I will miss him so much though, but as I said I have lost my patience with him a lot the last few days due to hormones so it is best to have him away from me in case he thinks it's all to do with the baby and resents it as a result. I want him to see being a big brother isn't all bad.

Work at 9 til 8 today...

Woke up at 6 for a toilet run, this ended up in me barely being able to turn and breaking down crying with the pain in my lower back, legs and pelvis. I awoke my partner who escorted me to the toilet then helped me back to bed to lie down... After crying over the pain for about 45 minutes he'd convinced me there's no point going to work so I called in.

Rang my sister at 10, she convinced me I had SPD like she'd had... Rang southdoc, told them the problem and that I'd due to see my GP on wednesday should I come in or am I okay.

They said come in, I went in, met the doctor whom asked the same questions the nurse had asked on the phone, then advised I should take paracitamol and if the issue persists tell my GP wednesday...

Then charged me 60 euro, I only had to drive a 30 minute round trip and shell out 60 quid for advise I'm sure they could have given me on the phone...

I'm not a happy bunny, thank god babies are so cheap and I'm made of money tho otherwise I'd be really annoyed :|

Could be, sometimes happens in 3rd trimester. How far along are you?
I'm 33+3 and the ms has been making intermittent appearances over the last 2 weeks. That's with me on meds to control it! Suppose it's fair to say it never went away for me.:-(
