When will the catholic church be charged with murder in Ireland.

In this country, where the links of government and church are so tightly entwined, and the fact that we have known about church sexual abuse for decades leads me to believe that NOTHING will be done.

I would like to see a full investigation into every single diocese.

The creation of a database of all those who were forced in to said institutions.

A cross check then should reveal those who are missing.

The cases of children who disappeared from the institutions should then be investigated by a new Garda squad. Who murdered them, who helped cover it up, and were the bishops aware of it at their monthly meetings covering up sexual abuse.

    Here are some other cases.

You can't charge "the church" with murder in a criminal court. You can only charge people with murder.

well you could use vicarious liability in tort but thats about it. with regards to criminal convictions you cannot charge the church, but only the people who actually committed the crimes, which is reasonable enough if you think about it.

theres also the question of the level of the cover up? could some members of the church be charged with gross negligence or something like that?

I've often dreamt of Irish Catholic Clergy and Fianna Fail members being charged with membership of criminal organisations.

There is no question about the level of the cover up.

It goes right to that delusional fool sitting on his throne in the vatican. He wrote the procedures on how to keep it covered up. Its like making the head of the KGB president of the country.

There was a cover up for at least 70 years. The bishops mentioned in the report need to be charged NOW.

Gardai and lay people who covered it up need to be charged.

Is everyone in this country blind and stupid?

Never. Individuals can get charged with murder in Ireland, but not organisations.

By saying "the Catholic Church", do you mean that club of over 1 billion well meaning people who hold meetings once per week to discuss things like love, kindness, trust, mercy, stuff like that, that paedofiles often target and infiltrate as a cover for their paedofilia? Why would you want to charge them with murder? I never murdered anybody:confused:
