Evening all...

Going from Waterford to Westport soon, so I wonder if someone could advise me on the best route to take?

It seems obvious to take the main roads N24 and N18 as far as the Galway area, but after Galway, what's the best way?

N17 via Tuam and Castlebar? N84 via Ballinrobe then the R330? Or N59 to Maam Cross, then Leenane, then N59 again?

N17/N60/N5 (via Claremorris and Castlebar) is the best route fricatus.
