My wife lost her camera on Friday night. We checked Lost & Found yesterday and this evening before we left but unfortunately it hadn't been handed in yet. If anyone reading this found a camera please get in touch and I will be able to confirm the model etc. Thanks in advance.

Brilliant weekend otherwise. Gil Scott-Heron show in particular will live long in the memory. Paul Brady was excellent too.

I had a fantastic weekend. Hit the road after the National last nite and I'm delighted I did.

Plenty of highlights over the weekend, Janelle Monne, Modest Mouse, Sea Sick Steve, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, 2 Door Cinema Club and The National.

Was disappointed with Mumford & Sons, they just didn't fill the stage like some of the other bands.

Hey had a brilliant time the weekend! Hot Chip were absolutely amazing!!

Unfortunately I lost my bag on the Friday night... It was a big brown leather billabong bag and it had my phone wallet passport and drivers license in it... Among other less important items... If anyone has it or maybe handed it in could ya let me know! Thanks very much!

Give him the slaps first and then hand him over to Security is the ONLY way to deal with those d*ckhe*ds.
I found that there was a few more scrotes than usual there but overall the vibe was still very good and laid back. Letting them know that they're not wanted is the only way to keep them away and stop them spoiling it for everyone else.

Best one of the lot was a guy, (not really a scrote, just an ars*e hole with attitude) caught at the gate with a really diabolical copy of a wristband.

"So you mean I can't go in"

    "That's right.."

"And what am I supposed to do"

"Move away from here for a start, probably go home after that or else go and buy a ticket"

    "That's ridiculous"

"Not really, that's the way it works usually"

Big long dramatic rant then including "....but it's ok for you, I haven't got a job and cant afford it, I have no money, now you're going to just leave me outside.." etc, etc,

"If you can't afford it then you shouldn't be here - I can't afford a helicopter therefore I never tried to get one. End of conversation, Bye bye.."

    "You're a P** *k"

He was totally under the illusion that he was entitled to be there and to gain entry just because he showed up with a homemade wristband.

Honourable mention must also go to the genius that paid €220 for a dodgy wristband (when a ticket was €240) so that he'd have another €20 for drink!! At least he was straight up and honest and went and bought a ticket. Expensive festival for him though - he must have skipped the Economics class!!!

If someone took my green Gelert rucksack off the bus in Dublin around 4am, I'd like it back.

I think yours is still with the bus, to be honest.

just back and it was unreal, so much so I'm now wondering if its possible to download the nationals show from last night, because I've heard it was on the radio last night?

LCD Soundsystem had to be the highlight for me; the whole tent just lost it's collective mind during 'Yeah Yeah Yeah'.

Overall it was an excellent festival for me. It was my fourth year going and it was way better than last year and the year before that still.

Things just seemed to go quite well. The weather was absolutely diabolical last night though. It really killed the rest of the weekend, but i'm quite thankful that it only happened on the last night (and not the first!).

I saw no real instances of trouble myself. Everything seemed to just go brilliantly. Highlights for me were definitely The New Pornographers, Robyn, The National, Two Door Cinema Club and Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club.

I really wasn't feeling Mumford and Sons to be honest. The stage was probably too big (they'd be much better suited to a tent gig imo), but what can you do!

Some small gripes I had was that there were just a bit too few toilets in the actual campsite, I liked the way they usually had an attendant on the toilets as well. I was also REALLY annoyed about how they blocked off one of the walkways inside the main festival this year (like you could easily walk to the Silent Disco/Ferris Wheel by taking a left after entering the arena, and not having to go through Body and Soul). But yeah, it worked out pretty well

Came home on the midnight bus, it just got too cold and wet for me!!

Fever Ray was absolutely mind blowing. Unbelievable. At the end it was like no one knew what to do... Just standing around looking at each other! Definitely the highlight of the weekend.

Also saw The Frames, Cathy Davey, Modest Mouse, Beardy Man, Fever Ray, Massive Attack, Friendly Fires, Villagers and Cloud Castle Lake. All GREAT shows. Really.

Also saw Laura Marling and Two Door Cinema Club, both a bit crap IMO.

I have to agree with Twee about Fever Ray. It was a mind blowing show. Other musical highlights for me included Janelle Monae in Body and Soul on Friday, LCD, Caribou and The Horrors.

Definitley the best Picnic in a good few years and apart from the guy who I caught trying to get in to my tent last night I saw no trouble at all. There were a few more salt of the earth types but they just seemed to be enjoying it and getting into the EP spirit.

Just back home now. What a weekend. Weather last night was a disappointment but can't really complain considering everything else went off so well.

    Highlights:

    Foals
And So I Watch You From Afar (Mindblowing start to Saturday morning)
    Crystal Castles
    LCD Soundsystem
    The Archie Bronson Outfit
    The National
    Massive Attack

After watching The National rip the main stage apart last night I though nothing could top it but then Massive Attack came along with the performance of the weekend for me. Seemed genuinely taken aback by the reaction they received in spite of the conditions.

Final shout out to the panel featuring Howard Marks, B P Fallon and Peter Hook on Saturday afternoon in the Leviathan tent. Great entertainment.

Camped in Tangerine Fields this year and was well orgainised and definitely worth the extra few quid.

    Roll on 2011.

Just back home now and had a lovely shower :)

Twas my first EP this year and Irish festival, I usually only head to ones abroad, but the lineup was too good to miss.

All the bands were top quality, special mention to Neon Indian last night, Caribou, These New Puritans, Lcd Soundsystem, Stornoway and Fever Ray, all superb!

    Some bad things:
As far as festivals go I thought the lay out was absolutely shocking. It was very awkward to get around the campsites and the stage layout was terrible. First festival i've ever been at where the main stage is at the very back? Thought that was very strange. It was equally awkward to try and maneuver between stages some of them were so far apart.

Thought the sound was pretty good overall but the Crawdaddy and Cosby tent weren't great at all. Stornoway had lots of technical difficulties, These New Puritans were cut off after a half hour (****ing disgrace!), the keyboardist in The New Pornographers had no sound for the first two songs.

Punctuality wise what the hell was going on? Lots of bands going on very late with no explanation (Cymande II yesterday at Body and Soul in particular).

I was in the Hendrix campsite and there were only four taps for water? That was all our group could find anyway. Four taps are ridiculous, hundreds of people there and they stick in four taps, wtf. Water was manky as well. Nasty stuff altogether.

    Some good things:
I thought the crowd overall were great, never encountered any problems with anyone, met lots of lovely people, all the bands seemed to be enjoying themselves for the most of it. Pretty good atmosphere overall, nice and easy going!

The toilets were the best out of any festival i've been too, pretty clean for the most part! I was expecting a lot worse, they were especially good in the arena.

I was particularly impressed with the shuttle bus going to Port Laois every few minutes for only €4. Thought it was a very nice touch, took a lot of hassle out of waiting around/trying to get a taxi, it was really convenient this morning for getting the train home :).

Overall I had a great weekend; however this was more due to the quality of the bands rather then the festival itself. Unless there's an equally great lineup next year I cannot see myself returning, the festival really doesn't justify the ticket price.

They were incredible! Easily one of the top gigs of the weekend for me; joined by Hot Chip, The Horrors and Liquid Liquid. Stars were surprisingly good too.

Disappointments: 808 State not playing Cubik, The Frames not playing Fitzcarraldo, These New Puritans' set being cut short, and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble's frontman talking nonsense in between songs. Gutted that I missed Bloody Beetroots :(

I found everybody to be really friendly, and didn't notice any trouble at all. Such an excellent weekend!

To make matters even worse, they didn't start until 5-10 minutes into their slot. Jack Barnett seemed quite miffed when he was told they had to get off. We Want War was epic.

It was a nightmare this morning too. Got bogged down twice, but luckily a few lads came to give me a nudge forward.

    Amazing festival.
Hypnotic Brass, Paul Brady, Low Anthem, to name just a few, were class.
Body & Soul, Arcadia, and Silent Disco were brilliant too.

Wow that was a fun weekend! My first time going, I decided to trade up from Oxegen this year and it was definitely a good choice.

I loved that there were so many things to do inbetween bands, the Bingo was the best fun ever. I actually missed quite a few bands because I was so busy doing other stuff.

The weather was a little annoying last night, but we were lucky it happened on the last day and Friday was so nice that we can't complain. My tent became a lake and everything I had was saturated but I still had great fun, huddling up to people and trying to not freeze.

Janelle Monae was the highlight for me, she was so good I went to her twice, on the Main Stage and again in Body and Soul (which was on in the nicest stage ever, it was so intimate for a festival stage). Her and her band looked like the coolest people I've ever seen, their dancing was amazing. Friendly Fires were great, I went to them thinking I didn't like them but I was pleasantly surprised. Same thing with Fight Like Apes, I was really impressed by them. Messiah J and The Expert were great, he was really giving it socks up there, impressive for such an early gig. I was really let down by Eels, I've wanted to see them for years but I just found their set a little boring.

Only bad points I can think of were the lack of taps and soap/hand sanitiser. Were were in Hendrix and I don't think there were any taps near us. The Portaloos were seriously impressive though, they were so clean! I hated that all the nice food stalls closed so early, I was looking forward to something interesting for dinner last night but by the time I got around to eating I was stuck with a boring old burger. Possibly my own fault for having dinner at 5am though.

Can't argee here to be honest. Found it very easy to get between stages and even going between ones that were farthest apart didn't take long imho.

Why should we have moved? We weren't the ones jumping around like some wild animal. If anyone should be moving it should have been him. To move would be to accept his behaviour as rational and routine . Its not about "lowering ourselves to his standard", we responded to the situation appropriately. We had already warned him twice to cop himself on. Its not practical
trying to move through that crowd of people to a steward who is standing 30 yards away, its nigh on impossible especially when half the people in your way are jumping and there are flailing arms in the air. I wasn't going to go to all that effort merely because some dIckhead wanted to push his weight around. Sometimes you have to deal with things yourself and meet fire with fire.

Had a great time, was my first Electric Picnic and will clearly be returning.

Highlights were Foals, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, Robyn and the National.

I came to Electric Picnic just to see LCD Soundsystem and the National and they were completely worth it. The crowd for LCD were heaving and great fun for the most part- Someone Great was one of those magical moments- but suffered a bit from the usual issue of drunkards driving me bananas. I am no saint and consumed a fair amount of rum at that point but it was the girls in front of me busy taking photos of themselves with their backs to the stage for facebook (stopping to look at each photo and ensuring they looked well) that drove me to the point of barking at them… Sorry random girls if you’re on boards!

It was funny but I think James Murphy was expecting some kind of Guns n Roses reception from the crowd- that we were going to be throwing bottles at them for cancelling the last gig because of the volcano. He seemed genuinely surprised that everyone was into it and kept saying sorry and “you don’t know what this means to us- we didn’t cancel on purpose”- the crowd was all SHUT UP AND GET WITH THE DANCING

Loved the reception for the National, it was just such a good atmosphere and a lovely way to end the weekend.

Also, was wandering around the body and soul area after LCD and spotted Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip wandering around by himself making no effort to disguise himself (still had the crazy hat on) and not getting noticed at all, just chilled out and looked at the art.

Just went down for The National last night, the band were great, not the best I've seen from them, would have been a great show if not for the awfull sound engineer!!!! he was terribly bad!!! A common complaint I've now heard from National shows, although the times I've seen them in the past the sound was great!!!

Does anybody know why Matt cracked up laughing when he tried to jump into the crowd for Mr November?

Totally agree. Nothing worse than some drunken twat stumbling around, knocking into ya, ruining it for all the normal people just trying to enjoy themselves.
Some fella bumped into two girls next to us at Janelle Monae (her B&S show was mental busy but really good) and they tried to push him away but he just kept walking backwards into them. He stumbled towards us then & I gave him a good shove away. He wouldn't stop though, so we did end up moving in the end. But it was so busy, we couldn't really move to a good spot and had to move back. Still enjoyed the show but was really annoying having to move like that.

All in all a great weekend. Saw loads. Gotta agree about Fever Ray. Wasn't even planning on going but glad I did. Really amazing.
Got some decent pics & vids. Will put them some up later.

Same. You only have an hour and ten minute set or whatever it was, don't play ****in' covers! My main gripe with him, though, was that he's done such interesting-sounding albums with odd arrangements over his career, and he reverts to a standard boring rock band? Seems like a cop out to me.

LCD Soundsystem and Massive Attack were incredible, The Redneck Manifesto and The Horrors took me by surprise with how great they were, and The Fall were mental! I knew what to expect from them, but how does a band put up with a man like Mark E. Smith? :p

I think Cloud Castle Lake deserve a LOT of attention, they were punching way above their weight and could have comfortably kicked a load of other bands of other stages. A brilliant set with really great music, and a perfect start to the weekend.

Heathers playing the Main Stage? wtf?

Favourite of the weekend might have to be Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip. Scroob had us eating out of his hand!
