Get iPhone on o2 - give phone to someone else?

The iPhone is free on o2 now. I've been meaning to move to them for a while now. I'm considering getting one and giving to phone as a present to someone, unlocked. When Meteor were young they'd disable your service if your SIM card wasn't in the phone you bought it in. Does anyone know if o2 do this? Will o2 care that I'm…

Hi, it doesn't matter if you will give an iphone to someone else. You can move to o2 from meteor no problem even if you are on a simonly option
