Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, I bought Madden 10 in Xtravision for 39.95 pre-owned. I've been after it for a while, and thought, why not.... previously the cheapest i had seen it for was something like 54.99 in Gamestop, seeing as its Christmas...My GF got me a voucher for GAME, so I managed to pick up the new Smackdown vs Raw 10...

What are the odds that BOTH games don't work? Smackdown stalls after you play a match. Madden randomly pops up that "disc is unreadable" error. I've noticed that Smackdown has a massive ring on the ring. Madden seems to have a couple of black patches on the disc, tiny, but no idea what they are.

What are the odds? I've never bought a pre-owned game and had a problem before. The third game i got was Godfather 2, what are the odds of making it 3 out of 3. I'm afraid to try it now! :(

To put the icing on top of the cake, I bought them at least 3 or 4 hours away from where I live...

And just to put the cherry, on the icing, on top of the cake... .I'm fairly sure that someone has chucked out the bag with the receipts.

i'd bring them back, or failing that try installing them on the HD.

No luck finding the receipts yet... I think I might try my luck with the Smyths disc repairer for a couple of quid, and just hope that it works on both.

The massive ring on Smackdown doesn't inspire confidence especially. Heres hoping though. I can't really install them to the hard drive... only have 20GB, most of which is used already.

It might be a case of your DVD drive not being one of the good ones. I remember with the original xbox, Microsoft used 3 or 4 different DVD-Roms and the one that was recommended as the best one was the Thompson drive since it would read a lot discs very easily. I'm not sure what is the story with the X360 since I haven't modded mine but it might be the same case that your X360 came with one of the weak reading DVD-Roms.

It might be good to contact Microsoft about it. They may be able to change the drive for you to a better one. Either that, or yeah, you just had some really bad luck with preowned games

I don't think its my disc drive... when I was having the problems with Madden, I checked the Smackdown disc before I put it in, and the massive ring was on it then. Lucky I did, or I would have been paranoid about it!
