Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic

    I was a massive fan of both of these games on the xbox and was wondering if a new version has been released on the 360 or does anyone know of any plans for releasing one.

    Are there any fans of these games on here?

    No plans at all afaik. At the moment Bioware are making Star Wars : The Old Republic, an MMO, so I very much doubt they'll be making another single player RPG in that universe for quite awhile if at all.

    There are another 2 SW games also remoured to be in development. One is the Battlefront III footage which was leaked earlier in the year and the other is something completely new.

    Apparently they released a patch that changed the game and people hated the changes, so they stopped playing!

    Also, has OP played Mass Effect? It has a similar atmosphere and gameplay to KOTOR, just not in a SW setting (so no lightsabers). It's brilliant though, and can be found really cheap if you shop around. The second one is coming out in January.

    Yea, in short it was super super hard to become a Jedi in that game. So these two guys put alot of work in and finally became the only Jedi in the game at the time. So people complained that they wanted to be Jedi to, so Sony totally changed the game so becoming a Jedi became super easy, so pretty soon everyone was flying around with their lightsabers, which led to almost the entire hardcore base went going wtf and quitting. The game died a slow death after that.

    Loved Knights of the Old Republic, played it on the Xbox, wonderful stuff.
    The new game, Star Wars: The Old Republic is certainly an MMORPG, that announcement filled me with trepidation as I just don't play MMO's at all.
    But the recent Edge article allayed my fears with the news that the game will have a comprehensive single player story driven game, just as the online one does, with good AI taking over the roles the other human players would have played.
    All this really means is that single player gamers will still be able to immerse themselves in the Old Republic universe without being given a cut down experience,

    Which is nice...


    What's not so nice is that it's only coming to the PC, at the moment anyway, feck it!
