    hi all,
i was wondering if anyone can help / advise. a family member has been diagnosed with this condition. they have been in more or less continuous pain for the past decade. doctors have given injections that kill the pain in the nerve for short periods of time. at the moment their face is swelled and pain seems unbearable. the obvious solution is to go into A&E but when they do that the only get relief for a day or two. the neurologist that the are seeing at the moment can not offer a more long term solution.
has anyone experienced this and/or recommend a consultant with experience in this area.
    any advice would be great,
    best wishes and happy holidays,
    Snoopy
