Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why is his price tag always used against him? It's not his fault how much money was paid for him. It was an inflated price due to city's late entry to the market.

We're a better team with him in it, stop quoting his bloody price, and stop quoting Jamie bloody Redknapp.

Eh........no I wont. Its because of his price he is getting the criticism and rigthly so. Redkanpps summation was spot on. I really dont see how anyone could argue with what he said. Just like Robinho and his £32m another complete waste. If we paid £15m for Berba he wouldnt get half as much flack.

    He always does that.

He's only started doing it the last couple of years, and only in interviews when he's not asked any difficult question. It's like his little reward. No doubt Shreeves will be playing it to himself on a loop for the next week. :P

Yeah but as was pointed out it wasn't Berba who decided the price tag.

How is this Berba's fault? If, for some crazy reason, we bought Messi for £200m would you be saying he doesn't do enough for his price? The incessant Berba-bashing is getting tiring.

Anyway. Game on. Come on boys.

if messi wasn't playing up to standard then yes, drogba and torres cost £25m and £20m respectively but both have gone on to justify their massive price tags, on the other hand morientes cost £5m and was slated because he never produced the form he was capable of (or showed at other clubs) at liverpool

Completely disagree - berbatov has ruined uniteds attack - attacking at speed in numbers on the counter - is **** when you have a gangly lazy striker who refuses to do it

Barbatov's ability to keep possession and pick out killer passes is what he was bought for. He never had a reputation for being a goal poacher, so people judging him solely on his goal return is wrong.

Brilliant attempt from Giggsy. He almost kicked it too hard for it to bend in time.

Im not saying he's a bad player, far from it - but uniteds style at the time he was signed - with Ronaldo & Rooney was really thrown off by bringing him into the team and the team was nowhere near as effective with him in it.

Just now rooney wins the ball sprints forward, berbatov walking forward offering no support or options to him what so ever- sums up what i was saying really....

Berbatov was the furthest forward. If he had been running he'd have ended up offside.

    utter rubbish.

i'm all for slating utd players ;).

but he was almost level with the last defender.

he wouldn't have been off side - rooney and 2 defenders were infront of him, by a quite a bit too

Two stunning passes by Berba inside a min. Second one creates a free-kick, Giggs brushes side netting.

From our support so far, I've heard "Feed the Scousers", "12 Cantonas", "Pride of All Europe", "U-N-I-T-E-D", "River Irwell", "Hello Hello", "Big Bad Wesley Brown" and "Ooh Ah Cantona" We really do have the biggest songbook in the league.

    Teriffic tackle by Brown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Utd got lucky there, was a peno. But can't blame the ref on that one. It looked like in Brown had got the ball.

    Fairly open match!!

??? To be a great tackle he would have had to have touched the ball, shocking decision. United get the decision they want yet again.

That was dodgy from Brown. :(

It looked like he stamped down the side of the ball as you can see it spin backwards but that could of been the hull player that hit it...

Half blind but anyway. He got the ball and you can see that with the direction the ball went when the tackle came in.
