Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

to be fair he put in a terrific cross for Gerrard's goal the other day. Credit where credit is due.

We've a decent bench too, if everybody is fully fit.

Bungling disaster ? Hes a young player who has been promoted to the first team when it is playing some of the worst football in memory and extremely low in confidence.

He has made the odd error but I think he has the makings of a great player.

With Carew starting will it be route one stuff from MONS men?

From what I've read Villa fans prefer to see him in the team than Heskey anyway. Wouldn't call Villa a route one team, they played some scintillating stuff at Anfield earlier in the season.

Interesting enough I was chatting to an Italian friend of mine who is saying that Liverpools form is a result of loosing faith. This is down to rumours that Barca, Inter et al are after Gerrard who will more than likely leave if Liverpool have a poor season. There is also the question mark over Torres on weither he will be in England next season.

I know this might not have a huge baring on the match but I do think it would effect any kind of 'Bounce back' if the dressing room spirit is that bad.

I'm hoping that Villa score early and play sensibly. Really looking forward to this game tonight.

Well, your Italian mate knows sweet FA.

Confidence has nothing to do with the errors he makes, he has simply let players go, that have directly resulted in numerous goals against chelsea, fiorentina twice, lyon, fulham i think and hull last season. The kind of 'mistakes' an amateur wouldnt make. The same mistake over and over is beyond alarming, if he cant stop them, will never be even close to a good player never mind great.

Joining this a bit late. Looks a good line up for Liverpool, with the exception of Masch for Lucas it looks the strongest Liverpool line up.

How have the first 16 minutes been?

looks like a bright start. anyone else notice, it's only the latin descent players that have either gloves & long sleeves or both. rafa has the rest told "you're used to it" lol

Nice to see so many Liverpool players in the oppositions half! Not quite sure what it is but it seems a little more positive tonight. Villa will prob win now

    A bit tentative.

The snow wasn't making things easy and both sides don't seem to have really gotten into their stride. Villa have looked a little bit dangerous at set pieces and seem to be concentrating on attacking us out wide (mainly down Insua's side).

We started slowly and now seem to be getting into the game, Gerrard had a nice shot from 20+ yards saved by Friedel. Torres hasn't yet had a sniff. If I'm honest I'd say Villa probably are edging the midfield battle. We've given the ball away needlessly a few times.

All in all not bad, but there's plenty of room for improvement

Pretty sure Rooney was wearing gloves in last game. Berbatov definitely was.

Cheers, I started watching just before the Gerrard shot, and since then Liverpool seem to be doing alright, and even seem to be a bit more determined then of late.

Rafa tells the players how to dress? Fair play to him.
