Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Its actually laughable.

Amazing to think he was touted as the best RW in the league a few months ago.

I'll admit to being one of those people who held him in such high regard. You're right though, he clearly overachieved last year as we're now back to him being worse than his fist year or two.

Think Rafa should think about bringing pacheco on

I don't think anyone ever made that argument, he was simply the second most effective RW behind Ronaldo when you only look at fantasy football categories.

It is a pet hate of mine. Case in point was the editor of the Liverpool Echo who said we wouldn't miss Xabi because he only scored a couple of goals and had a couple of assists last season. Fantasy football is effectively a simpleton's guide to football.

Good place to win a freekick for Liverpool.

Not a great hit by Aquilani though.

I was expecting a piledriver from him.

    That was Aurelio style.

Liverpool should sign Delap and only play him against Villa. Cuellar seems to have one defensive move, kick the ball straight out of play whatever way he's facing.

They most certainly did. It was the boast du jour around the liverpool thread all Summer as far as I recall. The usual Championship Manager stats were rolled out in his support. But as you quite rightly say, that type of football analysis is lazy in the extreme.

    Fair enough.

I just presumed nobody would be silly enough to make an argument like that. But on reflection someone earlier said Lucas was "immense" so really nothing should come as a surprise.

Unsurprisingly I think it was the main culprit in both cases.

Can't believe people are suggesting that should have been a pen. He had no idea where that ball was going.

    Game is quite stretched now.

Perfect for putting Babel on the right if Rafa wants to go for the win, and push Villa back..

We need a change. Yossi has been ineffective tonight so I'd like to see Babel given a chance

Obviously, seems as though he made such a poor attempt at heading it.

Yeah, i have. And it's been about Kuyt being poor tonight and this season and you said to think he was being touted as a great RW by Liverpool fans. Yeah, last season. Nobody has said such a thing this season. He's been poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 341 ✭✭Diggy78

what odds it's Aqua to go off, Gerrard back, etc, instead of actually going for it. Hope I'm wrong

He was under plenty of pressure, a free shot on goal if he did not get something on the ball.
