Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone watching the Top Gear special would have seen this earlier.

The bit where Jezza had to pass a larger jeep (Toyota Landcruiser) and he was inches from the side of the cliff was crazy. The best episode of the series by far.

Anyways, has anyone ever driven a road like this ? I know these sort of roads are all over the Andes. Can remember Michael Palin doing something similar in a previous series.

I'd imagine it would be an expierience, if you're into that sort of thing.

Great programme. Sort of makes the self congratulations of our elected look a bit silly when they open part of a road between two towns here and then you see the pacific highway in chile. Imagine building that

I cycled it last year with Gravity Bolivia, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I wasn't scared on the mountain bikes, but on the drive back I was ****ting myself!! Two days after I did it, a LandCruiser hit a cyclist and crashed down over 600m, killing 7 people.

drove the pamir highway this summer, as part of the mongol rally, totally mountainous, quite nerve racking in parts, in particular when you are driving after a mud slide hit and you have no grip, cannot stop and in over a foot of wet wet mud.
