Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi my sister-in law gave my son an old desktop computer.
she said a friend of hers was throwing it out so he can have it.
the trouble is she does not know the password .it is using xp so I was wondering as anybody ever used the site above and does it work.I cannot re-install xp has I do not have the disk and I am sure she would have micrsoft office on it that I would like to keep.

I've used this to retrieve a password, the free service takes about two days.

I have malware anti bytes on my win machine here and it is blocking access to that site.

Here is a site which I have used in the past, http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
this will get you up and running.

Don't throw it away! It's a simple fix,

Boot the pc into safe mode, there should be an administrator account called...administrator that usually doesn't have a password on it
In control panel you'll be able to reset the passwords for the other users.

If that doesn't work you can buy a boot disk from http://www.password-changer.com/features.htm that can reset the login passwords.

+1 it's really straight forward. Get the bootable ISO and burn to CD and boot from it.
