Yeah problem is many more people live at lower levels than over 200m. It only becomes a major event when a lot of people of hit with extreme weather. Its snowing at over 200m in Winter in Ireland....WOW!

    Gotta 4x4 to lend me ? :D

    so the eagle was correct.
    NON EVENT at lower levels.
lots of egg around here today.

    Look back through the thread.

It was always forecast to fall as rain today. The potential for snow from this band was tomorrow after it meets the cold air travelling south. The snow that's fallen today up the west coast is more than was forecast on here.

Now this yet may or may not happen and ME may be proved correct, but it's far too early to make that call. This time tomorrow will give a clearer picture, it will depend on what happens when that band retreats back south.

EDIT: Weathercheck has already said this - thread is moving too fast for me.

    Wow.

It's like that in Churchill, in the Hills of Donegal, just not snowing now.

Back in Convoy, walked to the shop there and took me 25 minutes, normally 10 minutes.

Treated roads are ok, but footpaths and back roads are lethal. It must have thawed a little today and is now freezing over. Very dangerous. Nearly slipped about 10 times!

You did indeed black briar, you did indeed! I'm proud of you!:D Apparently the temps are falling in the city too now as my brother just rang home and told my dad not to come up to the entrance of his work when he's collecting him tonight as temps are going down and could be dangerous (he works on a height like)
