Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ernest Jones in Dundrum used to do it for free. Perhaps they still are?

buy bottle of cleaner in jewellers, soak the stuff and use a toothbrush to give a good scrub.

Applebys in Clarendon Lane off Grafton street in Dublin offer free cleaning to previous customers who bought rings there and I'm sure would be delighted to see a new potential customer through the door

What exactly are you looking to get cleaned? In the case of silver put some tin foil in the base of a container. Pour in some warm water and sprinkle in some salt. Put in your jewellery.

For solid silver NOT SILVER PLATE get a plastic bowl, line with foil. put in a small bit of warm water and a spoon of soda crystals. soak the silver for a few minutes and it will be sparkling.
Any good jeweler will clean other jewelry. Do not scrub valuable jewelry with a toothbrush you may damage it or loosen settings - leave it to the experts.
I bring my rings back to the jewelers I bought them.

Sounds bizarre but my Mum always uses foundation (as in make up) to clean my jewellery. Put a little blob of foundation on a tissue and polish your rings with it. Works a treat, no idea how though!! They're super shiny afterwards.
