    I don't mind transsexuals. Let a man get a pair of tits if he so wishes. Let a woman grow a pair of balls.

    At the end of the day they are still the sex they were born as.

    You must realise that a person can be born with the wrong sex.

    It's a fact and for you to argue otherwise just shows your ignorance on the issue quite frankly.

    I know they are born as a double sex. It's not wrong really. They think it's wrong but myself and Gay byrne or someone else may think differently.

    Read beforehand. I think that when you are born as the sex you can't change with the genetics. I think the person only seems to think they are in the wrong body and confused. But I still accept them to go aroundas they wish.

    I like the Brazilian or latin American ones. The asian "ladyboys", no. With the odd exception, they just don't quite pull it off.

    Your poll didn't include the following options:

    1) Yes, I'm okay with them
    2) I don't know
    3) No, I amn't okay with them

    I don't think the real question is about being okay with what people choose to do with their bodies, it's whether or not you believe that changing your appearance is the same thing as changing gender.

    I have no problem with people making free decisions about how they look, I just don't believe one can truly change gender. So I couldn't vote on your poll at all.

    Yes it is i have trans friends who have felt that they were a different gender than their body was.they were born in the wrong body the same as if someone was born without a liver that would need to be rectified.

    I'd say the distinction between those two situations is necessity. The difference between want and need. Someone who is born without a liver needs one; while a person who feels they are born into the wrong gender may feel a strong want to be the opposite sex; there is no need.

    To compare the two things seems very strange

    Well thats just my opinion. I know that if i was born with a penis i would want it off. I just think trans people get alot me shiv because its easy for people. Brummy tom did you have long hair and live in mullingar? My dad had a friend by that name.

    If they're not comfortable they're not comfortable.

    Will we try and make gays straight too because they obviously aren't in a comfortable position with their sexuality? They are gay but should we try and make them level instead?

    The transsexual thing is all in the brain. The gay thing is in the brain. No kind of telling is going to change them. It will make them feel stupid and wonder why they had those feelings in the first place. They may kill themselves.

    Again, what do you have to support this view? Stating your opinion repetitively is fine, but there needs to be some form of substance behind it if we're going to take it further.

    If you feel the need to "disapprove" and/or say transsexuals are not really this or that then for the sake of all baby kittens at least educate yourself first!
