Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My 2 year old spilled water on the laptop, I turned it upside down and dried it out, it seems ok except for the backlight. I can vaguely see whats on the screen but the backlight is off. Can this be repaired, or can I repair it myself, any tips anyone? Dont want to dump a perfectly good laptop. Maybe someone knows where I can take it to be fixed.

It's the screen inverter, usually it's a handy enough thing to replace if you're prepared to open the laptop up. What laptop is it? You can usually find the parts in ebay.

Thanks for your reply, the laptop is a HP Pavillions ZD8000 - I dont mind opening it up, its a few years old now anyway so the warranty is up. What should i be looking for on ebay?
