Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

got this for christmas, i know very little about cameras but i had my heart set on an slr. to be honest i wouldnt know how to work it, but i was willing to play around with it. my question is would i be best to trade it in for a slr?

i would just like to take some better quality photos. more for a hobby than taking shots on a night out/wedding etc.

what would your expert advice for a novice be?

My advice is that you should hold on to the Samsung camera and look on www.adverts.ie for a secondhand DSLR.
there are lots of times when you will use the Samsung so you will have the best of both worlds.

Have you ever had a camera with manual controls before? If not then keep it and learn what you can with it, move onto an slr when you feel like there is something specific an slr can do that the Samsung cannot. Also as above it would be a good idea to keep it when you get an slr.
