I want to make a good cd to listen to in my car but I can't think of any good songs to put on it.

What is your favourite song of all time or if that's too difficult to answer, what song do you play the most on your mp3/car stereo/tape deck/turntable etc? All genres welcome.

My favourite songs are like my children maaan, don't make me pick one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Boxfresh

Right, lets ask a different question. If you were to make a good cd what songs would you put in it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭Kold

My 85gbs of music is like my child maaan, don't make me remove one of it's organs!

Um, what kinda playlist you want? What kinda music you into?

You almost certainly need this on it however:

I'ed put a few Queen songs on it like:Bohemian Rhapsody,I Want It All and Tie Your Mother Down.Maybe a few more from Queen but I'll leave it at that for the mooment.

    Ehhh,AC/DC-Highway to Hell,Guns n Roses-Sweet Child o Mine and Paradise City.

Thats just me but if it was for a car i'ed get a iPod or even a cheap MP3 player and connect it via USB to the car radio (if the radio has a usb port) and then have a huge range of songs to chose from.

And like Kold said, what type of music are you into?
Nobody can really help you as you didn't say what type of music you like.

85 GB of music?! Are you serious? That would take about 10 years to listen to all that :pac:

That youtube video ain't half bad by the way.

Yeah I got a new car stereo yesterday, like the one your on about so I'm putting all my tunes on my phone now.

I like old Oasis and Verve stuff, Ian Brown & Kasabian. Stuff like that. I used to be a big fan of house music back in the day but I kinda mellowed out since.

By starting this thread I was hoping to find out some of your favourite stuff and introduce me to any new stuff, like I said in the first post - Any genre welcome.

New Romantics music from the early 80s is another choice.
Artists like David Bowie (who kinda brought out the hole make-up thing), OMD, The Human League, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Roxy Music, Ultravox and many more.

BBC's Ashes to Ashes TV program is was made me listen to some of the early 80s stuff.

Or if you want to go later into the 80s have a look at the GTA Vice City soundtrack. All of these songs are up as far as 1987 I think.

    Also, Let Down by Radiohead

Great to see Pearl Jam twice already (well one Eddie Vedder but it's all the same).

Although it has no relevance on my music choice on the whole, FreeBird by Lynyrd Skynrd takes me to great places. Crowded House's Weather With You always reminds me of the best times in my life too!

    You only waited 20min.
Posting in AH for hits doesn't work.

Plus AH people would have posted crap.

I wasn't looking for hits I was looking for answers.

Not everyone on AH posts crap, I'm sure I'd have my cd made by this stage. No harm to the music forum but it just doesn't get as much traffic as the likes of AH would.

Don't go to www.bomb-mp3.com even if it downloads fast and doesn't appear to have any viruses. Stealing music on-line is wrong.

    Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run"

Meat Loaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" (live version on Rock 'N' Roll Hero album is the best version IMO)
