    Hi.

I live in an area where Broadband in unavailable. I was looking into my options and was thinking about SKY Broadband. Does anyone know how this works? Is it through the dish? or phoneline? If it is through the dish would it be possible to order it in the North and use it in the south?

    thanks for any help.

    Kenny

So your going to use your parents address in NI and then you think you will get it in your home in ROI. Good one. Just think about what your said.

You can get Sky boardband in NI in some areas. Check here

Can't get Sky Broadband in Ireland, as everyone else has said. Have you tried Chorus NTL though? We're with them for TV and broadband and while the connection can sometimes be a bit flaky (busy times etc) it's pretty good, and great if it's all you can get.

It is by the phone line and you get a wireless router.

Sky as is sky.com do not operate in Ireland and are unlikely to do so unless they buy out another provider such as Digiweb (as they now own Smart) AND the market will need to change

Not another Sky Broadband thread. For the millionth time, it will be well announced if/when it happens.

Also, don't drag up years old threads.
