Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey I'm moving to Raheen in march for a job, was wondering how long a drive to Lahinch it is, as I'm into surfing and would like to be able to drive out after work.
Alternatively is there ant good spots for beginner/intermediate close to Limerick? I was around Ballybunion last year but didn't see any great spots

bout an hour 20 each way (without the infamous raheen traffic) i'd say via ennis

Have done it in an hr and few mins - going from Raheen - Ennis - Ennistymon - Lahinch.

Don't even dream of going via Kilrush-Kilkee-Lahinch. It's and hr and 10 mins Raheen to Kilkee and then Lahinch is another 26 miles up the coast on top of that - unless you prefer the scenic route! :D

Ballyheigue isn't too far from Ballybunion & is supposed to be good for surfing - worth checking out!

Can easily be done in an hour for early morning sessions.

Don't bother with ballbunion area, Lahinch, Spanish Point are much better options. Huge variety of waves depending on your level.
