Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, hope I'm in the right place here. I got a computer last June (I think around then). The CD never opened on it but I never really needed it.

I can't bring it back as I got it through a company I no longer work for. I've tried to open it using a paperclip in the release but it didn't work.

I want to load up software for a digi camera onto this comp. Does anyone know if I can put the CD into my laptop and email the files to myself to open and load onto this computer? Or is there a fool proof way of opening the CD?

As you can see from my above description, I'm not very computer literate, so please use small words while explaining. :D

    Thanks

You should be able to google the make of your camera and download the software needed.

go to maker website.eg nikon.com/support ,or google camera driver,
    eg nikon 530sl driver.
OR use netcafe,pc to copy all the files to a usb drive from drive d/ cdrive.just drag and drop em,driver files are prbly a few megabyte max.
OR buy a usb cd external drive ,20euros pcword, peats maplins.I even copy files on my mobile phone microsd 2gig card thru a usb adaptor.
2gig usb drives are 7euro approx. You should be able to email the files ,use add attachment, command.Email from acc 1 to email account 2.
