Bring back the Sex Kitchen

..Thats right, bring it back, to Galway.

And no this post should not be moved to DJing as its a truly Galway City item.

For those of you who dont know, the 'Sex Kitchen' was a friday night club in the castle salthill in the early 90's. The best of funky house and progressive tracks under a bose system with enough dry ice to make the current cold spell over the bay look amateurish.

For those of you who ever there, heres just a few memories to get this resurrection off the ground..

I think there would be a market for this. Galway caters for most music tastes except for dance music in general, so having something like this would appeal to a market not catered for. Interesting times ahead, i know I'd like a consistant dance music scene rather than the odd acts the GPO manages to book.

Doesn't Tommy live in Dublin now anyway? And doesn't he own the right to the name? So a little birdie told me

Am reliably informed that this can be done. Will mention it to the right peeps. In the mean while start up a facebook group with some decent venue suggestions and it'll go from there. Could only see it being once a month tho. Unfort marguerite has herself a super job in LA now but Tommy would be well up for some sort of revival.

That place just rocked, plain and simple. Age of Love being the track that always brings me back.

What I wouldn't do for a good friday night again in the Sex Kitchen.
Tommy was amazing and the atmosphere unlike anything:D

A revival would be unreal........
Don't know if the old body could move quite as well as it did back then tho':(

Tommy is back living in galway but to honest i doubt he'll ever get behind the decks again on a regular basis.

a one off maybe but there is no way he'd start up the club again

a one off would be great craic though, i'd say most people would drop everything to be there.

A reunion would be great!The castle rocked back then.I was there nearly every night.Kaos with Mike K,Reggae Room with Tom,Sex Kitchen with Tommy,Wiped with Chris Orr,Feet First with Aran,we we spoilt!!Happy days!
