Id say it will lie , looking at met eireanns forecast especially tomorrow night could be heavy snow.
Its interesting looking outside, there are lots of seagulls flying around like something possessed , diving and hopping . Taking shelter from the sea i bet and looking for food.

I was thinking that as temps are forecasted to get below at least-5c I dooubt they'll get above 0c! Should be good from tonight onwards .... Hopefully showers will start inthe morning and last all day note meto uk thinks theyllbe scattered!

Clear skies, 0.5c and a cauld north wind with just a few patches of frozen snow to remind me of last nights extravaganza!
Perfect weather for tonights lunar eclipse between 7-8pm. Should be at it's best at 7.20 for those who are interested

it is until Saturday at the earliest. when let's just hope an active trough makes it way down from the North without dying out. if not then hopefully in a strong north easterly flow a feature pops up, which moves down from scotland in a south westwardly direction over Ireland, on monday or tuesday.
seriously this cold will have been a complete waste of time if we don't get one widespread snowfall from it, but by all accounts it looks like that could well be what ends up happening:(

Temps falling nicely here now 3.5c with a DP of 0.8c. Finally the cold air has arrived but too late for any snow action i think :(

Not showing on the radar but its snowing here moderatly for the last 45 mins or so, and re-covering everything.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Hail mixed with some powder snow now. Im right on the boundary of the showers and complete blue sky so it's not looking too bright for people North of Swords and Balbriggan atm.

Back to reality, it does seem to be pepping up slightly on the radar. Expect some flurries near Dublin city soon.

Edit: that was from 16.15, looks like they've already arrived

I turn my back for a minute and the mountains have vanished and there is an inch of snow atop the car.

Ah well; we had a break!

I think any showers in the east tonight will be from South Dublin to Wexford and a bit futher inland, I cant see north Dublin, Meath, Louth getting any more snow showers in this cold snap unless a miracle happens next week.
Neither can I, the Irish Sea is as dead as a dodo.
Lets face it, we really need Europe to be in a deep freeze and a big Scandinavian anticyclone to get proper wintry weather. At this stage I'm completely bored with that Greenland high, it's not producing the goods and I wouldn't care less if the AO went positive tomorrow.
