It's still snowing here, it's been kind of on and off the past few hours - currently about 2 inches or so on the ground. Since 11pm I've gone on two walks, might go on another if it picks up again soon! Christ, I really turn into a complete child when I see it snowing.

Not just myself but my brothers have all been excitedly waiting the snow and then coming to the realisation, "WTF do we do if it does snow'. Childless Men ranging in age from 22 to 35 arranging to meet up for a snowball fight would look a bit odd! :D Without kids, we've no excuse. I envy the guy earlier who had a 2 year old available to wake up to bring him...I mean bring her out to play in the snow at 12am :D

Snow everywhere in Celbridge, 11.50pm it started and by 12am place was covered. Just back in after being out with the kids in PJs and slippers making snowmen and snow ball fights. All our neighbours were out too, it was fantastic!

It's been the best new year's eve that I've ever had!

Beautiful night out there. Almost bright as daylight but far more splendidly ethereal. Temp not low by recent standards but low there are all the same. 2.1c.

    excellently put.

Ooooh, the smallest snow flakes ever are falling here (east Carlow)

    Almost invisible, but still snow...barely

Just drove down from Firhouse (in a freelander) To pick up people from a house party and noticed at least 50cars stuck on the Spawell to m50 incline roundabout. Unreal. Lots of othercars stuck on the way down too.

Well, the lastest streamer missed me cos the prcip is taking on a more southerly trajectory now. The good news is that means it's heading for you !

I think now with the direction the precip is going in, most of Dublin is in the shadow of the Isle of Man, so wont be getting any new showers for a while.
