**January Poker Goals**

    New year begins tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about playing poker in 2010. My main goal for the year is to continue with the improvement on my game over the last four months and to be playing and beating 200 NL by the end of the year. And it all starts in January.

    1) 35K hands at 50NL, be in profit.

    2) Post hand histories, discuss theory and watch vids.

    Non-poker

    3) No alcohol for the month :eek:

    4) Start running regularly again.

    Serious month of poker ahead. I'm looking forward to it.

    1. 15k hands at 25nl and 5k at 50nl. Be fully rolled for 50nl by the end of the month.
    2. At least two decent live sessions at the Grosvenor and/or Napoleon's.
    3. Qualify for UKIPT Manchester.

    Well 2009 was an utter disaster for me poker-wise; despite being dry the past year I've still managed to play terribly, and the times I've produced my A game I've still fallen victim to variance at the crucial final hurdles.

    Having said that, my live MTT game is still quite strong, and the dozen times I bothered to stroll down to Macau to play I've gone deep enough, and cashed well there.

    So, my January goals are as follows ---

    * Settle up the few small poker debts I have, and (hopefully) collect the one owed to me.
    * Better game selection - I've a grim tendency to leap before I look when picking a table.
    * After that we're looking at 12 month goals...

    Not to touch the laptop until I've re-read "the zen and art of poker".

    Play 3 €500 + buy in events.

    Qualify for the IO.

    Turn profit :)
