    Hi all,

My Eircom 3mb connection is running slow these days (can be 100kbps sometimes) and the ping times are up around 700-900ms.

Can someone have a look at these line stats and see is there anything wrong? (I don't know much about SNR, Attenuation, etc)

    Thanks :)

    ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3072 kbps 384 kbps
Line Attenuation 39.0 db 20.0 db
Noise Margin 22.5 db 17.0 db

They're good enough for more than 6 megs. This gives a decent indicator as to line capability.

    These are mine:

    Downstream Upstream
Max Allowed Speed (kbps) 3072 384
    SN Margin (dB) 26.50 20.00
    Line Attenuation (dB) 32.50 17.00
    CRC Errors 0 0

How far are you from the exchange. You've a higher line attenuation than me and I'm about 1.5 miles from exchange. From the above poster though they ok. I'd contact eircom anyways. Them speeds are not right.
