whats the forumation rules, can I pick any type of players for defenders and midfielders or do I have to pick right back left back and 2 wingers

I'm probably alone on this, but I picked a PL team because I don't watch nearly enough Spanish/Italian/French league to make any sort of judgement on it. The Premier League on the other hand, I do.
