Tell me about it. The sad thing is, a very small part of me wants to let him leave so he can go onto bigger and better things. He finally guided my Celtic team to Champions League glory last season, but until he plays football on the continent he won't be held as highly as he should. It's strange how little concepts like that which don't matter in the game affect your decision making :o

Branch off from your saved game. In one you could keep him until he retires, in another you could sell him and track his progress and in another you could move to a bigger club and take him with you. I still intend to get back to that saved game where Arsenal offered me over £100m spending money to leave Boston.

I bought 3 midfielders and a defender for £28m and what a difference it has made. We're not as defensively sound as I'd like to be, but we were the highest scoring team in the league. All of my new additions had a massive impact on my season and helped Newton to his best ever season, in which he overtook Jack Werndly as the clubs record goalscorer and now has 125 goals in 257 games for Boston United, banging in goals in League one, all the way up to the premier league and even in the Europa League where he finished as top goalscorer last season. Being an Arsenal fan, I was delighted to be able to sign Lansbury from under the noses of Madrid. I did have to offer him more money than I should have, but that's ok.

It really was a fantastic season, not only did we retain the Carling Cup, but we also pipped City to the title by a solitary point. The screenshot above was my Europa League Quarter Final against United and I was literally jumping around the place by the final whistle.

We've just moved into out brand new 28k seater stadium for the new season and have climbed all the way up to 46th in the rich list. Here come the good times, roll on the Champions League :D

I was amazed to be honest, he beat his previous record, but he set that when we were in league one. He did ok in the league, but was incredible in Europe. I think it's definitely down to the lads I brought in in midfield. This season, I've already signed two excellent players on free transfers. They're both around 31 now, but should be good for a few years. To sign some of my players, I had to offer more than they wanted to fend off interest from other clubs and as a result I'll have to sell a bit so that I can offer Newton a new contract. I'd be sick if I lost him at this stage!

Just to update. Amazingly I qualified for the group stages of the Champions League the following season. Knocking out APOEL Nicosia, Interblock and Red Star Belgrade. Was planning to do a proper write up today but with the LC results out tomorrow I didn't get a chance so I'll do it the weekend. Kildare County are now rich :D

    It's Charlton v Birmingham...League Cup 4th Round (2014). I'm Birmingham...

Birmingham are trying a new formation...it's a little "too" attacking.

Charlton start well, 1-0 with Garry O'Connor (ex Birmingham) getting a nod in.

It's quickly even though (Gouffran), but just as quick (by the seventh minute) its 2-1 to Charlton, O'Connor again. This ain't good.

Now its 3-1, Lita, and its only 18 minutes in. Then 4-1, and this new formation isn't looking good. 4-2 brings it to half-time with a Cassano goal. Needless to say, I'm angry.

Six minutes in, and it's 4-4 with two quick John Watson (Irish striker - re-gen) nodding in and smashing a thirty yarder. This is going well, until Lita makes it 5-4. Dammit.

Subs. Zarate comes on. He's not been great this year. Terrible actually.

But he hits the equaliser. 89th minute and its a thing of beauty.

Extra-time. Zarate gets two more in the 102nd and 110th. Saviet at 113 minutes and Duff at 117 making it 9-5.

    Nine-Five, from 4-1 down.

    Jesus. I love this game.

    Current 1st team:

    DC - Colin Murray
    DC - Stefan Logan
    DL - James Bloom
    MR - Tiernan Mulvenna
    MC - Robert Bayly
    MC - Luke Dean
ML - James Ashman/ Ryan Shaw
    ST - Adam Barnett
    ST - George Donnelly

I've only bought four players, all of the others have been brought in on frees.

    Notable Transfers In
    2012 - Robert Bayly - Free
    2013 - Ryan Reid - Free (now worth 950k)
    2017 - George Donnelly - 55k
    2018 - Stefan Logan - 140k
    2018 - Paul Collins - 80k

    Notable Transfers Out
    2017 - Dean Lawrence - Reading - 1million
    2019 - Greg Cunningham - Cork City - 750k
    2020 - David Harvey - Cork City - 725k
    2020 - Paul Collins - Stoke City - 600k

The money I received for Dean Lawrence was completely out of the blue. There had been no rumours or anything of an offer and then Reading came up with that and the board stepped in and accepted it.

My current first eleven cost me 310k and is now worth a ridiculous 8.26 million  With a further 2 million at least on the bench. This has come from signing up promising youngsters when they're released from Premiership Clubs.

My total spend is 355k and my total received is 2million with more to come from monthly installments.

When I began in 2009 the club was badly in debt and now has a healthy bank balance of 6.41 million. Largely due to the qualifying into the Champions League.

This game has completely sparked my love for this game again and now I want to dominate Ireland for years, which will be a hard task as many of my players want out of the club for bigger things.

Ireland are ranked third in the world in the game! Ridiculous. Is it right in this game that I can't be a national team manager and a club manager at the same time?

I started with brazil as i thought it would be an easy way to win the world cup to build up my reputation and i wasnt disappointed. Straight away i got rid of gilberto silva as he was too old, got rid of ronaldinho as he did nothing and brought back ronaldo. Easily won world cup with Pato and Adriano joint top scorers on 6. Played a couple of months on and won a couple of confederations cup matches and noticed man united needed a manager as ferguson retired. Looking at there record for the 2 years i was managing brazil and united finished 4th and 5th with man city and arsenal winning the leagues. The team was more or less the same with fellaini , shawcross and elia added to the squad. Straight away i got rid of the dead wood, cleverley, de laet, amos and corry evans. I was offered 37 million to reach champions league which i thought would be a good finish for the 1st season. Brought in jovectic for the the attacking left wing spot competition for elia, and brought in some youngsters for the future. Currently iv just won league cup 4-2 after extra time against aston villa, first in the league and just beat cardiff in the 3rd round of the fa cup. Im also into the second knock out round of the euro cup after beating athletic 5-3 over two legs.
    Heres how league is going

Well just had the best season yet :D

Started with the Europa League last 32 as I came third in the Champions League group stage. Knocked out NK Dinamo and then got knocked out on away goals by Standard Liege in the last 16 :(

I won the Setanta Cup, League Cup, FAI Cup and Premier Division :D Dominated from start to season.

Got so close to the Champions League knock out stages too :(

So done a double this season with Gillingham, won the league with a game to spare. Arsenal had a dodgy season finishing 11th in the PREM so they offered me the job and I accepted :), so I'll be making the leap to top-flight football next season, I've a 2 year contract with them worth €71,000/week

So after the end of my first 3 months in charge of Cambridge City, I was let go and had my choice then of Teams in the South or North Blue Sq,

In the end i took control of barrow. Who wanted to survive in the league.

At the half way point of the season i have just lost 2-1 and thus ended my 12 game unbeaten streak. I'm currently 5th in the league and just trying to shore up my defence.

I have a decent keeper on loan, got a great forward and midfielder by fluke, and also managed to sign a 36 year old former Aston Villa player who is working wonders in my AM.

The team are scoring goals for fun but the defence is letting them down horribly.

Update tonight after work on how far i get the team. Still on course for my 10 year plan from the BSN to the Champions League.

Finished the season in 9th place.
Semi Final of the FA Cup
    2nd round of League Cup.

My 5000 seater stadium (500) seated is getting an expansion to around 7500. So I'm going to be ground sharing with Blackpool.

My youth and training facilities are also going to be upgraded finally.

Delighted with the season and kept my wages 2k under budget, not bad considering they were only 60k/w
