    I'd appreciate some advice about a lawn.

    I have a 20m X 12m area of a lawn to the rear of my dwelling house. The lawn area is reasonably flat, but the grass quality isn't brilliant, alot of weeds are present.

    My goal is to create a chipping and putting green. I have access to good quality top soil so as I can level out any low areas.

    Would I need to relay and reseed the entire area or can I work with what I have?

    I have surveyed the area and identified low areas that would need to be raised (slightly raised 20 - 30mm). The rear elevation of my house is facing north west.

    Where could I purchase a good quality second hand cylinder mower?

    What type would you recommend?

    I live in County Cork.

    Hope somebody can point me in the right direction.
