Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I've got a camera that needs servicing. Dirt on the viewfinder, inside the camera. So I wanted to find out how to contact the Canon service centre in the UK, and get a quote off them to fix it. But I haven't been able to find the required details on their website! They have an email form and a phone number, but no address for this.

Does anyone know the address for this place to send cameras to, or indeed how much it would cost for them to fix it?

    Any info appreciated:)

P.S. I did a search on the forum here but I just found results mainly dealing with sensor cleaning or if international warranties applied etc.

On that note, it's a Canon EOS 400d refurbished, from an ebay seller based in New York but shipped from the UK:confused: It is definitely out of warranty after 18 months I should think. It's the american-branded model, the EOS Rebel XTi

Go to Gunns on wexford st or any other camera shop and buy a cleaning kit. It's easy to do and won't set you back a fortune.

Thanks, I don't think the cleaning kits look after the viewfinder, just the mirror and sensor parts.

Does anywhere apart from that service centre in the UK look after stuff like cleaning viewfinders?? I'm a bit worried at having to pay a flat fee of €200 for a full service when it doesn't need a full service...
