wet sleet in rathfarnham. I dunno, for some reason, completely unscientifically of course, I reckon we're going to get feck all snow in Dublin and itll turn into the usual damp(and cold) squib.

Heavy white frost despite a biting and sustained NE wind. Mean windspeed 12mph with temp currently at -1.7c. Severe wind chill but really invigorating at the same time. :)

Became milder at some point last night, early cloud breaking.

biting wind here but feeling slightly mild when sheltered from the wind and standing in the 'Dazzling' sunshine as Evelyn put it. At a guess i'd say temp is about 1.5-2c.

the warm front is coming. it will be interesting to see if it's snow or sleet that falls. if it's snowing in sligo it should definitely be snow further inland

nice to have some sort of real winter here…but how can it be that hardly any of the footpaths and non-major roads in dublin have been cleared of ice/snow or at least gritted/salted even now, days after any (remotely) serious snowfalls…?! this is just totally unacceptable. what about people falling and breaking bones, drivers crashing their cars etc.? is there anyone you can sue if that happens?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,853 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

it has turned to snow now, but its very light. it's quite something to see every flake sticking.

Sun peeking through the cloud now - after a light snow shower - still a few small flakes falling and possibly more on the way from the north. I can see the snow heading south over Clara now...

It's melting around the edges (Sligo retail park car park) but where the access roads are melting from traffic it's partially re-freezing. Pretty damn slippy out there now.

High of 31C here in the South West of Western Australia.

Glad that we aren't in Perth with 37 C Plus there today...

    SSE winds 10 Km/h

Slightly cooler now at 17C at 11.42 hrs

Looks like it could be another warm one tomorrow.

    Regards

Dub 14, cold but no snow. A bit of rain earlier. I would even say, locally anyway, there's been a thaw of sorts.
