I was thinking that Diesel froze at about -9, but what about Kerosene which probably would be the most common heating oil?
    -40 Celsius.

A few flakes in the breeze or enough to give a dusting?

Depending on the grade. Jet A won't freeze until -40C.

What would happen to electricity at absolute zero?

The colder it gets the less resistive the wires become so the ESB will make a saving. They mighn't notice it though:D

In Sandyford it's a few flakes, can only see it in streetlights, been the same for 10 or 15 minutes and only have a light dusting on the cars, it could keep going at this rate for 24 hrs and I wouldn't say it's stick to the roads.

Still a light dusting coming down in Rathfarnham. If anything it's gotten a little bit heavier over the past few mins. And to think I'd almost lost all faith! Hope this bodes well for later in the week for when snow actually has been forecast!

The Skys have clouded over here in Newbridge , and I am nearly sure I seen one or two little flakes in the SKY, :)

Any hour or so ago there was nothing but beautiful clear skys with only the stars and moon in site

My usual weather station in Newbridge last updated at 11.45 pm but it usually update every 15mins , anyway temps then were -3.2 and DP was -5.6

    Not REAL snow ..

Go up to the Dublin or Wicklow Mountains then if you want real snow !

I am very happy with what I got on NYE and its still hanging around which makes me even more happy , and I would be even happier again if I got it again this week !
