Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

haha .. I didn't predict that btw, that came from a text I got from a mate in Liverpool.
Who is your mate (sorry Rafa) bringing on at half time?

Imagine how many goals we would have beaten United by had we not been so poor.

    Frightening, isn't it ?

That was Liverpool playing of their skins against an under-preforming United team. However anything can happen on any given day in football.

Don't be making comments like that. :o for ya. After all you said not so long ago that we (United) would be enjoying Europa League football next season. Goes to show you anything can happen.

That conversation is for another day.

Everyone knows this is a bad year, especially the Liverpool fans.

No clue lad, but I've a feeling in me waters. The hard part is done with the Reading goal going in, Liverpool will blow them away in the second half.

Reading were really good in the first half but struggled to cope with Liverpool towards the end. Special mention has to go to Lucas, who has barely put a foot wrong and is constantly looking for clever forward balls. He made a couple of wonderful passes in that half.

Maybe United will do it one day against us then. Fergie did admit it's the real derby for your lot.

I just see the fixture against Liverpool as a stumbling block. Just another match against our bogey team. A glorified Southampton if you will. ;)

But back to the match, Torres is certainly looking sharper, its only a matter of time before he scores, midfield really needs to step it up though. Being outplayed at the minute.

Everyone convinced Kuyt stepped over ball or did he miskick for equalizer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,836 ✭✭✭Sir Gallagher

Insua continues to depress me, he's just a bad defender no doubt about it. Lucas is like a fine wine..

Torres back to his best. That goal against Villa was the perfect tonic.

He is a class above the rest, but he still looks like he's holding back...on pace I mean?

It certainly looked like he dummied it on purpose.

says 50/1 paddy powers ,dont know if thats true or a misprint or what.

just saw dobsdaves post, must have been 50/1 at start of game.

saw kuyts run,ya can see lad past him is keeping him onside, didnt notice him at first.

I genuinely think hes playing through an injury. Could be a dangerous game they're playing with him.

I think he's going to need the op sooner or later. Can't remember when I last saw him running at full pace.

If Reading tried this hard every week they would surely be higher in the table, guess you got to prioritise:rolleyes:

He was certainly one of our best players against Villa, no doubt

No need to duck your head when what you said is pretty much spot on, I would argue that Reina is our most consistent player this season though, with Lucas coming second.

yet another woeful performance from the pool. Plan A - hoof it, plan B short pass it without pace or accuracy in the passes. Schoolboy stuff.

lucas has given away the ball a few times now that could have cost us.

    I don't think he's grest either tbh.

Overweight, slow and gets caught of position on numerous occasions.

Should have been a free to Reading there. Torres got a decision almost exactly like that at the end of the first half.

aurolio(sp) hasnt been great either, his first touch at times is terrible.

shocking pass from n'gog, even torres ran at the near post then went to back post ,seemed unmarked,n'gog put the ball to the near side

At this stage, especially with him already being on a yellow, i'd take off Insua, put Aurelio left back and bring on Benayoun or Babel

I have never seen N'Gog as anything but game tbh.

Insua has really fallen from the promising player status.

Poor Dossena is all I can say, if he can't get a look in when Inusa is playing this badly and Aurelio is being utilised elsewhere then he won't get another chance.

just seem isolated.torres seems to be involved more, yet hes supposed to be carrying an injury.
look at the pass he put in.torres runs for near post, slips his marker and goes for back post.where does n'gog put the ball?near post.says it all really.
