Lots of mATX going around... do you have a form factor limitation? ;)

I'd recommend an MSI 770-C45 (dirt-cheap OCing mobo) if you can handle ATX. If not... 785G is probably the best chipset you can get. Avoid that nForce4 like the plague, its ancient beyond belief and saying that I wonder about the stability of the DDR3 slots glued on to it, not to mention the old-stepping X4-955BE might be too much for the VRMs to handle! After that just get the cheapest mobo that caters to your needs and hopefully has a good critical review (i.e. not a reader review on Komplett! ;)) somewhere on teh webs.

As for DDR3 the RipJaws seem to be head-and-shoulders above the competition. Unbelievably cheap given they use honest-to-God real ICs rather than the OCd tosh everyone else is using on their DIMMs! And of course that means the OC overhead is considerable...

Ahh its on the continent, but its just one of those things, couldn't believe my eyes, the cabinet is shoved full of sometimes decent, sometimes ridiculously overpriced computer bits, thought i'd have a wander in.. actually had to look twice, 955 BE, seals not opened, 70 euros, was lucky.

I am going to go for the Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H over the Asus and gonna get the CL7 ram, I'll have to assume they go together? I like the Asus EVO, but I think the gigabyte may be better, unless someone knows better?

Ahh yeah I have a fetish for matx unfortunately, can't stand large cases, its gotta be pretty and its gotta be small.. I've lugged around too many monstrosities in my life.
