    manchester-united-crest.jpgVS. 655_leeds_united_crest.jpg

Live on ITV1 and Setanta Ireland

Heading over for this, cant wait.

First time we've played Leeds since a 1-1 draw at OT in February 2004. As much as I don't want it, it's going to be an opportunity for SAF to use some of the young lads.

    I can see a line-up like this:

    Kuszczak
    ---Rafael
    Brown
    Vidic(fit?)
    Fabio---
    ---Obertan
    Scholes
    Anderson
    Welbeck--
    Owen
    Macheda

Any Leeds fans want to give us an idea how they might line up?

I'm also heading over, hope the airport is alright tomorrow morning.

I also like that team, can see Gibson starting.

I cannot ****ing wait for this.

Going to the pub now which will be full of my Leeds supporting mates. Let the banter commence

i would expect we'll go full strength. that would be:

    Ankergren

    crowe--Naylor--Kisnorbo--Hughes

    Snodgrass--Doyle--Kilkenny--Johnson/Howson

    Beckford--Becchio

United wont play a weakened team IMO, united have a CC game midweek so the kids will be kept for that.

one of the da silvas will play and i dont think wellbeck and macheda will both play. I wouldne be suprised to see rooney, nani and neville start

if thats the team, i could see us playing well, but ultimately getting beat 3-0 or so

here's hoping we do well, but ill echo all leeds fans and say that promotion is the key. obviously a win would be amazing, but id trade it for a win next saturday tbh

I think he'll use the kids now and play a full-strength(ish) team against City. City will be playing a full-strength team, we'll need our best team more in mid-week.

How big of an allocation have Leeds got for tomorrow? I read somewhere they got anything up to 11,000 tickets

saf said he'll be playing a strong team against leeds

so i expect the likes of welbeck will not feature

9000 tickets allocated to leeds fans, I think Macheda and Nani are both injured, SAF will prob play Owen up on his own, pack midfield and hope for a draw!!!!!!

I have always had a place in my heart for Leeds United Football club ever since they were so kind as to give us the King and the rest they say is history.

Strong team for Leeds Fergie won't take chances theres too much rivalry, the kids to continue in the Carling cup.

Will be a mix and match strong/weak team i think.

    Kuszczak
    --Neville-Brown-Vidic-Fabio
    Obertan-Anderson-Scholes-Park
    Owen-Rooney

We all ______ Leeds ______! (at the risk of breaching the charter)

Brown and Vidic need to start to be prepared for midweek. Hope it is Berba/Owen up front and Obertan and Park in the wings. Really excited about one.

It's great to revive the old rivalry, it's been far too long. However, as event said, I think just about every Leeds fan would trade a win tomorrow for promotion this season. That's our only target, and while I expect the lads to give a decent account of themselves and maybe even snatch a goal, in all honesty I can't see us winning, even if United field a weakened team. No matter how you look at it, it's still first division against third, so I just hope we don't take a hammering. There are far too many United fans to face in work on Monday morning. :)

I'm trying to work out which'd be more satisfying, making a big deal out of this tomorrow to píss off my Leeds supporting friend, or acting as if Leeds were a nothing little team of no real note.

Is it really on at 1pm? FFS - Sundays are made for lie-ins, not getting up early.

    3-1 Manchester United

United to beat themselves by two goals? I bet you'd get great odds on that!

Why have united Leeds games always been so early in the day? I know they're close in location but even Manchester darbys don't always start at 12 or 1 but this tie always seems to.

Because the likelihood of mass-scale violence between the clubs.

I hope we destroy them today, but there's a part of me that would love to go to Elland Road and beat them there, but I don't want them to get the money from the replay.

I hear the midfield is Obertan-Anderson-Welbeck-Gibson in whatever order.

    Roo and Berba start.

he'll have the full team out i imagine, everyone wants to play, but not really bothered if we go out of the cup, promotion is the goal and its not like we were going to win this

im expecting a hammering but hoping for a draw.

united fans will tell you they would love to murder us "to put us in our place", but sure we are in our place, we are a 3rd division team at the moment.

really looking forward to the game, but not expecting much

if the team posted above is the one starting, with 6 or 7 internationals, they shoild beat us well

unusual team but good to see some faces back from injury!

Thomas Kuszczak is still in goal and Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney are joined up front by Danny Welbeck. Nemanja Vidic keeps his place in defence, with Jonny Evans, Gary Neville and Fabio Da Silva coming in. Gabriel Obertan, Darron Gibson and Anderson form a new-look midfield

I think fergie is showing Leeds a lot of respect with the strength of the team he's putting out! I say there's even a lot of championship teams he wouldn't have respected as much.
