Brown should be off for that, second yellow for following through with his left foot.
It would be very disappointing if people got yellow cards for the tackle that Brown made there. It was a strong tackle, perfectly executed.

    No. He shouldn't.

gotta agree, tough tackle, but won the ball fairly.no intent.

edit:gotta say hes having a nightmare against beckford.wasnt someone saying he was only a late addition to the team?looks off the pace.

2 mins, Johnson caught by Evans...no free. He is a homer.

    It wasn't a 2 footed challenge.

Well one foot got the ball, the other got the player just above the ankle. That's 2 feet by my counting skills, but please enlighten me.

Carrick will be on at HT surely?

Both feet are attached to the body, one usually follows the other, it doesn't mean it's a 2 footed challenge.

Browne followed through with back peg , yellow card. I wonder will united be saying it's a contact sport etc when Rooney falls over in the box...

I agree he's a homer alright. There were one or two small incidents that were going Utd's way that you just know that, if it were the other way round, he wouldn't give it.

    No major incidents though

one foot got the ball, other foot carried through by momentum.no intent, therefore not classed as a two footed tackle.and i dont support united btw,it was a tough but fair tackle.

the setanta commentator hates berba, anybody notice that ?

dont blame him, berba doesnt deserve the wear that shirt, ****ing awful

it always comes down to our ****e midfield, not a good thing to say about any of them.
gibson has been awful, ando really is taking the piss of late with his performances, welbeck has been brutal, obertan is starting to make me think we have another nani.

Really enjoyed that first half. Ankergren gave me a big scare when he flapped at that corner, but otherwise we've dealt with most of what's been thrown at us very well. Gonna be tough holding on for another 45 minutes though.

I didn't see Beckford getting booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle went

A few subs at HT would be nice please

Both feet are attached to the body, one usually follows the other, it doesn't mean it's a 2 footed challenge.

By that definition there can never be a two footed challenge. The smart tackle would to have gone one footed with the other tucked back under his thigh. Once you catch someone on the ankle with your studs, you get a yellow 9 times out of 10, whether you get the ball with other foot or not. We've all seen people gone for a lot less than that tackle, just for 'intent', he actually managed to get the player and still got away with it.

Now obviously its been a while since we've been to Old Trafford so excuse my ignorance, so does the same rule still apply that if United are losing after 90mins that we play till they score?:pac:

    Just ask City :D

The trick is to stuff them like Liverpool did last season.

    You just posted this:
    It wasn't a 2 footed challenge.

    and this:

disagreeing with yourself, the laws of physics and well, the generally accepted method of counting to 2; but somehow I'm the one taking the piss?

I thought I gave a pretty reasonable explanation for you above of how he could have made it a safe one footed tackle. i.e by only using one bloody foot.

Well even if we lose I'll remember that for the first 45mins we had Sir Alex pointing to his watch as early as the 30th min and Sir Alex also doing a jig on the sideline. Not bad for for a League One side:D

totally disagree with that. Sure he has been inconsistent in this game but he has still done plenty of good work.

Really pissed off with PIG's massive fùck up for the goal. Brown was caught out but PIG should have easily smothered the chance.

Gibson has been non existant like usual. Hardly ever makes a tackle nor shows for the ball. If Fergie brings Giggs on for him i'd be happy.

Has been an enjoyable game to watch with plenty of needle. I've missed these games.
