Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok so my brother gave me his old Dell 9100 for a Xmas present, and am trying to wipe the HD and get a fresh install of XP onto it. Problem is, it only has USB ports for connecting the keyboard and mouse, no PS/2 ports anywhere. So when I run the XP install and get to the "Enter to install, R to repair and F3 to quit" menu, the keyboard isnt working and cant select any options. I think XP isnt using a USB driver when it boots fom the disc so they dont activate.

Can anyone help, dont have the computers specs and BIOS version on me but can put them up later. Would a BIOS update fix this, or try to reinstall the existing USB drivers?

did you try on different USB ports? not all USB ports are equal! I doubt it is an xp install disk problem and I assume the USB ports were working before? If not enable in bios .

Recent machines have a bios option for enabling USB keyboards from boot. Make sure this is switched on.

Legacy support its called. Enable and should solve your problem.

Tried all the ports, 2 on the front and 6 on the back. Zilch.

Probably the legacy thing set to off or such, will give her a spin next time I hook it up. I assume this option is buried somewhere in the Setup menu (F2 on boot).
