Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

J1 Bar Job in NYC

    Hiya,

    I've heard it's really difficult to get a bar job in NYC and just wondering if anyone knows if this is true? I'm 21 and heading over there for 3-4 months this summer and have 3 years bar experience + lots of customer service.. I'd love to work in an Irish bar over there...

    I'd really appreciate if anyone has any advice/recommendations as to how/where to apply. I'm currently working on a resumé with the aim of emailing it over to as many bars as possible...

    Hey, From experience unless you have contacts before you go, you will find it hard to get a job in a bar, there seemed to be a clique which was hard to get into.

    Your best bet is to have contacts before going ( a friend of a friend who has a brother working in NY) . I'm not saying it will be impossible but you may find it very hard.
