Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well, an interesting enough match in the end, although it had some dire patches in it.

I must say I disagree with a lot of the analysis here, WHU did not deserve to win that match. Yes they worked hard, but despite Arsenal's forwards being so off the pace their defence looked shaky, their midfield worked hard but were unimaginative, and their fowards, while good on the ball, made some absolutely appalling decisions around Arsenal's box, and really wasted some fantastic opportunities. I know they are missing C.Cole, but you don't win matches being as wasteful as they were.

As for Arsenal, surprised at people saying Ramsey or Vela deserved MoM. Ramsey, while good in the first and last quarters, was anonymous for long periods in between. And Vela, while he was great at getting in behind the West Ham defence, he didn't absolutely nothing right on the ball but the cross for Eduardo. Still, it's great to see that they can still be match winners while their general play was so average, sign of champions that :D

As for the rest of the team, I thought Arsenal looked very tired. Particularly Song and Gallas, who both seemed to stand off their players much more than usual, although Song did look bright at the end when they were attacking so much. Still, i hope the ANC doesn't f*ck him up, it's a rest he needs.

So, to sum up, 2-1, just about the fair result imo. While WHU worked hard, Arsenal could have scored a lot more in those last few minutes. WHU really dropped off and were punished for it.

    What are ya like.

Up till Nasri and Diaby's intervention, Arsenal were second best. Both sides deserved a second crack at this one.

True. The difference between the two teams was the benches. We had 4 19 year olds and 2 20 year olds to come on. Arsenal had Nasri and Diaby.
Although personally I wouldn't have welcomed a replay.

True. Diamanti seemed to be carrying an injury. No need to get smashed at the Emiretes, or lose more players.

Diamanti has a little bit of a tinker in him. Granted Vela's half arsed flick back at him while he was being fouled was petty, Diamanti's reaction was a bit ridiculous.

Fair play to the gunners. They are starting to show some fighting spirit that they have lacked these last few years.

Do you not see the flaw in your logic?
