Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Possible consequnces for setting latch freq below FSB?

I have old ram and a new processor. The ram runs at 533mhz, my FSB runs at 1333mhz. The lowest I can step my mem multiplier in the bios is 2:1 on the latch freq, which should be 333 for my CPU (if I understand correctly my actual effective bus speed is 4xlatch freq) for a mem speed of 666 minimum. I think this is what's causing my pc to lock on bootup the whole damn time.

While I'm waiting on faster memory, is there any consequnces to setting my latch freq to below 333. Eg will I do any damage setting it to 266 so I can step it to 533 at 2:1? My bios docs say it is "highly recommended" to leave it CPU native speed, perhaps that's more an issue with overclocking?

    I have a core 2 quad processor and a p43 gigabyte mobo
