Chippers/Takeaways in Sligo

Parking up there is nuts. Cars just abandoned along the entrance. All Parallel parked on the exit lane.

Some stupid boy racers circling the building randomly stopping to chat to their friends in another car in the queue.

Still food was good as per usual.

I know this is frowned upon BUT IT IS better than the Four Lanterns.

i used to go to college in sligo.. 12 odd years ago..

i remember a chip shop that made this lovely burger sauce that was highly addictive to me!

we used to go there after equinox.... those where the days.

any of you know the name of the burger / chip place im talking bout? ????

Quite possibly the worst chips outside of McDonalds.

I too am morally outraged at those comments....... having said that the last Big 4 I got there (a couple of weeks ago) was bland and quite flavourless. Don't know if they've tweaked the Big 4 Sauce or maybe it was just the "Chef" on duty that day f'd up. Still, it's a culinary institution that I'm sure will be visited again.

Was over at Supermac's today it was alright not really gone on it.I agree with the previous poster the 4 Lights is horrible went down hill badly the last 2 years(What the deal with the food stinking out your house for 2 days after i let no one bring 4 lights food in my house)The peppermill,Roberto's,Happy eater,and mollies are all nice chip shops

I've had good food from Supermacs in both Carrick and Ballina but have to say the food in Sligo was rank. Chicken was burned, milkshakes were just milk (no flavour) and the burger was anorexic. Didn't even get to complain as the wife got drive through on the way home on Friday.

I was so disappointed. Was looking forward to a feed from it. To think we chose it over a Ho Wong!

Went there the week before last, got my change wrong (she gave it right the second time) and when I got home I noticed the drink was wrong and the burger order was wrong..

Won't be going back there for a while, let the bad ones be let go first :pac:

I used to love mollies when they had the small shop on holburn street.When they made the move it was never the same after:(
