Recommendations for a Beginner

I was never really into photography or cameras that much but ever since our 'White' Christmas and looking at all the beautiful photos that my family took I started thinking that it would be great to have a camera to take photos of things like that for memories.

Therefore, I'm looking for a recommendation as to a good camera for someone like me who's pretty new to photography and therefore I don't want something too expensive or technical as I don't even know if I'll continue doing it. I saw they have a sale in PC World and Currys and the Sony W190 is on sale for €120 in both stores. This looks like a pretty decent camera for a beginner like myself and a very reasonable price. Does anyone have this camera? Is it good?

What other cameras would you recommend?

    Cheers.

Absolutely buy yourself a good camera and have some photos to keep the memories fresh, it's a great pastime and maybe you'll even find yourself a regular here.

As for the model you ask about, you'll understand that there are hundreds of different models to chose from so it's not surprising that somebody here doesn't have one, there's lots of info on how to choose a decent camera no matter what your budget here , have a look through it and come back if you've any questions.

Sony are a decent brand though, I'm sure you wont go too far wrong there.
