Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Car Insurers when it comes to a crash...

I had a car crash last week.
Not until this week can get things moving with places being closed.
I am waiting for the accessor of the insurers to call out and look at it.

If my car is possibly worth €5000 today and the repair €3000 though the car can drive from A to B, what are the insurers likely to do?

Does it appear to be a possible write off?

My experience is if it is beyond economical repair or in the year it was bought they write it off. However from what you have described I wouldn't be surprised if they put it through a recommended repairer depending o who is the liable party. Lot of different factors. Quiz the assessor though. Dont take their word as gospel.

    Who is the insurer?
