I have a wood burning fire and would like to buy a large quantity of wood to burn , we cant burn coal in it. The timber must be seasoned hardwood otherwise it burns too quickly and stains the glass door if its damp !
any suggestions as to suppliers and prices would be great.

did a bit of ringing around today and settled on future fuels.ie
they sell timber that is kiln dried, with a moisture content of less than 20 %. a bit pricey but should last 4/5 times longer in the fire. €200 for half a tonne delivered. thought cork firewood offered good value also but didnt ask how harden their wood was.
