Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First-Time Sensor Cleaning Advice

I usually find myself using the camera with wide apertures but I was taken landscape shots today with small aperture and got a nasty surprise when I had a look at the photos on the computer afterwards - lots of what I assume are sensor dust marks.. :(

I've had the camera 6 months now and haven't cleaned it yet, thought it was perfectly clean! What would you recommend in terms of getting it cleaned up? Should I buy some kind if kit, and if so what would you recommend? Is it better to hand it in somewhere and let the experts tidy it up (Galway or Donegal places would suit me best)?

    Thanks!

Here's a f36 shot taken to show the problem....

    http://visibledust.com/

Take some test shots of the sky at small aperture

First use the Rocket Blower, camera opening facing ground, test again

Then try the Arctic Butterfly, test again

If none of the above shift it go for a wet clean with V Swabs - be very careful!!

At f22 to 36 I don't think you will ever see a spotless sensor, so don't be too shocked.
Use the rocket blower as previously suggested. Also look on youtube for sensor cleaning techniques.
