    Josh Klinghoffer is the new guitarist with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.


    Interesting choice, and one with a lot of history with Frusciante given how much they have worked on together. Anyone who has followed Frusciante's solo career will be very familiar with Josh Klinghoffer .

    I have seen him play live a few times, with PJ Harvey and with his new band on the Stadium Arcadium tour, and have liked what I heard from him each time.

    He is a good musician with quite a distinctive style of writing and playing, so maybe there is a chance he will be able to nudge the band from the comfort zone musically.

    Cannot see him staying for long though as his track record suggests that he will stay for an album and then move onto some other band's album.
