Was Jean in her party frock? :)

She is a lady who loves to wear a fine frock !

Where does she get that stuff ? She looked like someone who would be more suited to the pantomine/theatre stage than reading the weather !

the system over England needs to move south, once that happens winds will go NE over here

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,506 ✭✭✭SpitfireIV

NW wind though!! How is that going to bring snow to the EAST?
    I don't understand it...

That'll change, see the chart below for 8pm. The winds are blowing the showers onto the east coast from the NNE, but the winds inland from the NNW are keeping the showers confined to the coast......damn!

Who cares where she gets it. It looks great.

Tonights black leather number with the red markings looked like something from a bondage session more than the theatre.

    Thanks again Jean

    Back to the snow......

Croppy you may move a few miles West, we could well see a shower here but the Wicklow mountains will take most of it. Icy as hell in Tullow not a bit of grit to be seen

Heavyish shower now just east of Dublin Bay. Heading for coastal areas of south dublin/north wicklow

It is not NW anymore ;)
Oh yes it is! I've just been outside and its stronger than its been at any stage today! and there isn't a cloud in the sky. What next can go wrong I wonder!

    Did anyone notice this:

On this forum last night, when met eireann said little chance of snow for the east, everyone dismissed them and said they were wrong.

Yet tonight, met eireann say snow for the east coast, and 3 warning triangles. Suddenly everyone starts talking about met eireanns forecast!!!

    Just an observation . . .;)

Maybe because ME made the right call last night? :D

This NW and at some times W wind has been messing things up as far as snow fall goes on the east coast so far. What exactly has to happen for it to turn NE, what are we looking out for?

If you want to see snow falling...live:)... take a look the Stoke v Fulham match about to start on Sky Sports1. It would'nt surprise me at all if its called off.

There's nothing forming on the irish sea to bring us any snow on the east. the winds haven't changed and don't look like they will. I'm affraid it's a no snow show tonight :(

Yep the snow has been blowing in off the Irish sea to Wickla town for the last couple of hours on and off.
Only light but still a covering.

Looks rather appetising alright! If it does manage to grow in intensity it will most likely hit N Scotland before us.
